Boqueria Atlanta, the Barcelona-inspired tapas bar that opened in January, has just won a huge national honor, and we’re so excited! Boquera’s design concept draws inspiration from the marketplaces of Spain, particularly Madrid’s renowned Mercado de San Miguel, with architectural arcade elements, large archways, and decorative metalwork anchoring the design.
What did Boqueria win? Boqueria Atlanta
Boqueria won one of the INT Interior Design Awards for Hospitality in 2025! The restaurant’s 5,755-square-foot space was designed by Alexa Nafisi of Adean Studios with Mancini Duffy Architecture.
What can you expect to see once you step inside Boqueria? Boqueria Atlanta
Founder of Boqueria, Yann de Rochefort, says,
We wanted to create a space that felt intimate, welcoming, and alive with energy. The design brings to life the spirit of Spanish dining, while maintaining a high level of sophistication and authenticity.
Here are some of the highlights once you step into Boqueria:
Moody dark green walls paired with Boqueria’s signature red Custom ribbed-glass chandeliers and glowing pendant lights Ornamental archways and metalwork inspired by historic marketplaces White oak banquettes, artisanal tilework, and materials chosen to patina beautifully over time
The design blends clean lines, subtle curves, and beautiful warm lighting to create a welcoming environment that is simultaneously transportive, sophisticated and approachable.
What’s on the menu at Boqueria? Boqueria Atlanta
Boqueria has a mouthwatering menu of tapas-style dishes, drawing inspiration from Spain. We’ve gotta recommend the croquettes de setas and pulpo a la plancha. And don’t miss out on their paella (either veggie or seafood/turf)!
But there are so many great options to check out! See their full menu here.
Congrautatiosn to Boqueria! If you haven’t been inside to see why they won an interior design award, you’ve gotta get on it!
