this has happened to all 20-30 banana peppers this year. I wait until they start turning red because my colorblindness makes it hard to see when they are yellow to pick.
I don’t think they are getting sunburned because many aren’t even directly in the sun since they are shaded by the leaves. but it’s happened to every pepper that has a little bit of red. am I just waiting too long to pick them?

Kind of looks like blossom end rot. Could be caused by calcium deficiency or inconsistent watering.

That can be Blossom End Rot caused by nutrient deficiencies…particularly calcium…but it’s not a lack of fertilizing. Inconsistent watering causes nutrient deficiencies. I’ll attach a video that you may find helpful.
