Lunch today was 1000 yen Daisen Karaage in Tottori prefecture

Just like wagyu and pork, there are different grades of chicken based on species, what it's fed and how it is raised. Daisen chicken is raised to these higher standards. The restaurant was a little 8 table spot way out in a village along the coast between Tottori city and Uradome Coast served a lot of Thai dishes, but I had not had Daisen chicken yet on this trip so decided to go with the karaage. It was super tasty with all locally grown foods and got to listen to a nice little thuderstorm roll through while we were eating.
