Yall inspired me to make hot sauce out of my peppers! I can't believe for the past years of me growing hot peppers I've only been dehydrating them and making pepper spice and flakes. This whole time i thought making hot sauce would be much harder than it was!! Of course I need to keep practicing, cause this batch is HOTTTT. But I love hot, so it doesn't bother me.

Nicely done! Making sauce is so much fun. Fresh is great but having dehydrated peppers on hand throughout the winter to make small batches of sauce is awesome. I like making small batches I can store in the fridge and eat relatively quickly – it allows you to play with flavours without worrying about correct pH and all the other things that are required in making safe shelf stable sauces.

Even for those who are *really* into things like hot sauce collections, there will never be anything quite like a homemade batch of sauce during pepper harvest season.

The second you try to bottle it commercially, you’re always going to lose at least some amount of the purity of freshness of something that just got picked off of plant.

In the same way there’s plenty of great orange juices at my grocery store, but nothing quite like squeezing out a few oranges yourself.

These peppers are beautiful and that hot sauce looks 🔥. Do you mind sharing where you got the seeds (if you remember)? I want to try growing some next year and I don’t know a good place to get some from.
