A fine dining restaurant on the Norfolk Broads is celebrating its first month in business.
Restaurant 1812 launched in Stalham at the beginning of September.
The building, built by a man named Robert Burton in 1812, was previously used as a restaurant called The Mermaid’s Slipper.

Mr Burton used it as a working space for his family and the recent refurbishment uncovered several secrets, such as an old kiln.
As well as honouring the restaurant’s history with its name, the team maintained as many of the interesting design features as possible.
The exposed brickwork in the main dining area has reportedly been a particular highlight for visitors.

Restaurant 1812 is being managed by Hayden Lee and leading the kitchen is 35-year-old chef Lee Tyler.
Mr Tyler trained under Gordon Ramsay and Simon Rogan at his Lake District restaurant L’Enclume, which holds three Michelin stars.
He most recently worked at Holt’s Michelin-starred Meadowsweet .

The head chef has carefully crafted a five-course tasting menu, with the view that this allows the team to “focus on quality, consistency, and the fine details that make each course truly memorable”.
Each dish pulls inspiration from the local area and the seasons.
Mr Tyler said the response from diners has been good and he has enjoyed sharing his creations.
“We have had a really good reaction from the people we have had in so far, which is the main thing,” he said.
“I think the mussels and citrus kimchi have been the most popular dishes.
“More generally, the look of the inside of the restaurant has been a big hit, too – we have tried to keep it really natural and modern, but also in keeping with the character of the building.”
The five-course tasting menu costs £65 per person and reservations can be made online or over the phone.
