Happy Monday to you all! 🌸

Maybe I shouldn’t have had the sugar in the coffee? 😂

All kidding aside. I normally have fabulous willpower. That pizza box sat there without me thinking about it for most of the time. Then this morning I woke up like a shark having a feeding frenzy. Two and a half slices of cold pizza and some fried ravioli was pure bliss while eating. An hour later I feel sluggish and overfilled.

I texted my kid and told him start hiding the pizza as if nothing else pizza is my one true weakness. So many carbs! 🤦🏼‍♀️

I guess it’s water, diet soda and chopped salads for the rest of today. Plus some aggressive floor scrubbing and bathroom cleaning.

Eat how you usually eat in a deficit for the rest of the day. If you punish yourself by overcorrecting (only salad and more exercise), it will be harder to stick to your goals in the long term.
Pretend this meal didn’t happen and get right back on the train. The calories will balance themselves out in just a couple days.

Honestly props to you for tracking- I know a lot of people who would just “forget” to track high calorie foods and then have no idea what happened (read: me)

It’s a marathon not a sprint! You’ve got this! I had 4 donuts on Saturday but recalibrated yesterday and haven’t gained any weight as a result. Just be kind to yourself!

Not everyday is going to be perfect, life happens, just don’t get discouraged! Life is too short to miss out on some fun food here and there! I also recommend since your already going to go over the 1200 through out the rest of your day, instead of focusing on food eat normally and focus on getting doing some fun movement today, go on a walk with your kids or go swimming, do something you think is fun AND burns lots of energy!

What helps me is that I don’t stop myself from from having a slice of pizza, I’ll drink a big glass of water and have just have 1 slice instead of 2. I try to have a nurri protein shake with my coffee because it sweetens it for me and adds 30g of protein for only 150 cals and 1g of sugar (they taste good and even when they aren’t on sale at costco they cost less than 2 bucks each) I end up not as being hungry around lunch and eating something light when I have that in the morning! Its much easier to turn down tempting food when you have a fair amount of protein early in the day.
