Ingredients :

Granny Smith apples – 4, Coconut palm sugar (or turbinado sugar) – 4 tablespoons, All spice powder – 1 teaspoon, ground cinnamon- half teaspoon, salt – 1/4 teaspoon, Avocado oil – 2 tablespoons, coconut flakes – about 3 tablespoons.

Instructions –

  1. Peel, core and dice Granny Smith apples.
  2. In a skillet heat avocado oil on low heat and saute diced apples low and slow until they start browning. Add salt, spice powders and sugar and saute everything until they’re caramelized to a deep golden brown color.
  3. Garnish with coconut flakes. Enjoy on its own or with a helping of cottage cheese. I prefer the latter 🙂
