Used this Camp Chef for about a year but it’s been sitting unused for a year now with all sorts of dirt, old food and pellets in it. Is this even salvageable or should I toss it or sell it cheap and buy a new one?

Just curious as to my options

Clean it and then reseason the grate on the outside. Good to go

Get some brillo pads, some gloves, your fave degreaser, some cold ones, and go to town. Or sell it to me for like $30, ill pick up.

Give a good clean and season high heat like when you 1st bought it.

Set it out on the curb… what’s your address?

Once you clean it, cover the drain pan with foil each time you use it.

You can absolutely salvage it! Just give it a good deep clean, scrape off any old gunk, vacuum out the pellets and ashes, and maybe run it hot for a bit to burn off anything left. I let mine go for a while (way too long honestly) and after some elbow grease it worked just fine.

So you never cleaned it? Gonna learn today

yeah just throw it away and buy another one ever year because you can’t be bothered to clean it…

it should physically hurt to be this stupid.

ffs, if you actually took a few minutes to clean and season it would probably last 10 years…

Would be happy to dispose of it for you. Location?

Save it! You can replace all the internals. I did that to my propane grill. I think I spent under $100 to replace all 4 burners, new diffusers, new igniters and stainless steel grates

Wire scrubber, rinse with soapy water, dry then spray with light coat of oil, wipe off excess with paper towel or cloth. Then heat it up for an hour
