Is there something wrong with my Carolina reapers.
These are supposed to be Carolina reapers, I thought that they were supposed to be red. These ones are turning brown. Is that normal?

That’s just the equivalent of a sunburn, they will still ripen normally when they are ready.

Just looks like it’s ripening to me. A lot of red peppers will turn from green to some variation of brown, orange, yellow, etc then to red. Around half of my cayennes turned a chocolate color before they finished ripening to red

Its just some pigmentation from the sun. It may be a bit crossed with something or more than likely just some tanning before it turns fully red.
