Takes about 90 minutes in slow cooker. I eat as a side with steak or it is definitely a traditional holiday side in my family! I add smoked sausage or browned ground beef sometimes to make it a full meal.

    Printable Recipe: [Corn Casserole](https://recipesfromfrenchcreek.com/slow-cooker-macaroni-corn-casserole/)

    **INGREDIENTS**

    •1 cup dry elbow macaroni

    • 6 oz velveeta cubed

    • 8 tbsp butter cubed

    • 15 oz can cream style corn

    • 15 oz can sweet corn

    **INSTRUCTIONS**

    1. Spray inside of crock with cooking spray for easier clean up.

    2. Dump both cans of corn, macaroni, cubed Velveeta and cubed butter into the crockpot. Give it a good stir.

    3. Cook in crockpot on “high” for 1 hour 30 minutes. Giving a stir approximately every 30 minutes to keep the pasta from sticking to the crock. Enjoy!

** add browned ground beef or diced smoked sausage to it to make a full meal.

I’ve always wondered, doesn’t pasta get mushy if cooked too long?

  6. Casseroles are made in the oven in a casserole dish. This is not casserole.

Is there literally no seasoning in this?

  8. As disgusting as this looks, I would probably devour a bowl

You have a good head on your shoulders and a positive attitude even when people are yucking your yum. Personally, I enjoyed seeing this recipe. I’ve made it in the oven before and it is a very easy meal when I’m struggling to put something together. I usually make a bunch of chicken breast and shred it before freezing. I’ll take some of the chicken and toss it in to the casserole if I need protein. I usually season it with garlic powder and paprika since that’s what I put on darn near everything. And to the haters out there, yes, I’m from the Midwest. And yes, the oven version is delicious so I’m sure this is too. Seeing a version that can be made in a crockpot instead of the oven is phenomenal for my adhd brain. Not going to accidentally start my house on fire because I forgot something in the crock pot!

My mom used to make something similar and the sweetness in the corn mixed with the cheesy pasta was soooooo good!!! She would sometimes stir in a pack of jiffy cornbread mix and bake it and it would turn into like this cheesy cornbread casserole thing. This is a great comfort meal!
