I don’t even know how to explain it, but the beef just tastes different compared to what I’ve had elsewhere

Yes! I built a Santa Maria and love it. Just did a Vacio also with all the sides

Yes, but all the good Argentinian-style bbqs are expensive and mostly overpriced for what they are

  3. I’m planning on getting a Santa Maria grill here in the next couple months so I can cook for my neighbors

I grew up on this, on a regular basis.

Salt is the secret. Not table salt, not course salt… it’s grilling salt. Some grill store sell it, and it’s common in latin supermarkets

Edit: i was married to an Argentinian and learned to grill asados

The only thing missing there is some sweat breads, chinchulines, and provoleta ☺️

I’m in process of building an Argentinian live fire outdoor kitchen. Let’s talk!

I want a Santa Maria badly. Best I have for now is a chud box. More salt lick style or North Carolina style bbq.

Do fish fart in the ocean? Do trees read our minds? Obviously we are all into Argentinian meat musings.

I wish there was a live fire sub to real dive into this shit.
