This was sent to me by a friend. Breakfasts, lunches, dinners, optional snacks. Grocery shopping and menu planning would be unpaid, I’m assuming, as there’s no disclosed grocery budget.

I can knock this out if you’re cool eating the same 2 meals all week.

  2. Danobing

Basically they want someone to do all their meal prep for the week in one day for 120 bucks.

  3. patricksaurus

Someone should kindly tell this lady she’s a nutbar.

  4. Darnoc_QOTHP

I can’t wait until she learns, “you get what you pay for.”

  5. 4HORSEisAclydesdale

I’m not in the restaurant biz but I’m curious what the price point would be for someone to actually consider taking this job.

there’s a lady like this on my local nextdoor who posts something like this weekly, alongside videos of her trespassing on her neighbor’s property to scare the shit out of their chickens and complain about the noises they make. she’s easily the most entertaining local karen.

  7. MariachiArchery

Oh and you need to provide the kitchen too.

I want to reply with my resume and the word “lmao” so bad

  9. Popular-Capital6330

I mean, MAYBE—if you’re in a state with a minimum wage of 7 bucks an hour?
    But, DAMN.

  10. Brodakk

Lmaooo that hourly is what i make as a line cook. This lady is delusional

  11. TravelerMSY

That’s what the staff of their personal caterer is going to make, lol.

  12. ranting_chef

Am I reading this right? 21 meals in eight hours? In just over one hour per day?

  13. Possible_Excuse4144

I was like ok sure no problam, ok thats cool, then I just started laughing. But now I’m sad cause this rich person is going to get this at the expense of one of us. Damn the man.

  14. Mgroppi83

  15. It doesn’t say that it has to taste good…

  16. CantaloupeCamper

Do they know that the poors people don’t get personal chef’s?

  17. GroundbreakingSky685

Instacarting olive garden, del taco and panda express if that’s all he’s paying 😆

  18. TheScoobyDoober

I was thinking “whats the big deal?” Until I got to the pay, that’s fuckin wild.

  19. my dish washer makes 25/hr gtfo with that McDonald’s money

  20. RobbyWasaby

Ummmm, should be 50 bucks an hour plus materials Etc these people are insane

  21. quadfrog3000

Planning, buying, prepping, and cooking 21 meals a week in 8 hours and for only $20/hour?
    That’s $160/week in pay, max?
Hopefully there is at least an additional budget for the food and that’s not also supposed to come out of the pay. (Unfortunately, I’d be surprised if it’s not supposed to come out of the pay)

  22. blood_bones_hearts

Interesting! I never thought I’d be able to afford a personal chef but turns out I could! /s

  23. CallidoraBlack

    Sounds like r/choosingbeggars is leaking.

  24. paraworldblue

For $15-20/hr they’re gonna be eating beans and rice for every meal. For the Asian fusion portions they’ll get some Sriracha to squirt over it. For the Mexican portions, Tapatio hot sauce. For the Italian portions, idk, maybe some grated mozzarella.

  25. arielflip

Work at a resort, CHEF’s are desparately needed!
    That pay is apalling!

  26. IwasMilkedByGod

no less than $400/week AND they pay for the groceries. anything less is just insulting

  27. plantgirl7

$20 an hour for a personal chef 🤣🤣🤣

  28. 2eDgY4redd1t

Maybe for quadruple that, plus expenses, and you’re paying me to shop

  29. upset_pachyderm

All that in one hour and nine minutes a day?

  30. TeaKingMac

McDonald’s money for private chef tastes

  31. JonMatrix

For that pay, she’s getting my famous steamed hams.

  32. ClydePrefontaine

Costco chicken, bacon and eggs, blt lunch with a can of soup, salad bags, tuxedo cake. Ribs if they have them. Monday drop off, meat daily. No face to face

  33. marteautemps

As a non professional I would take that rate for planning and cooking the meals, but Im not shopping or cleaning up. Any of you here I assume deserve 40+ for the same.

  34. sixteenhappycappys

Lol 8 hours a week but 21 meals? Idk this guy understands how thing work, especially with his preferred cuisines. Sounds like he just wants meal prep with meals made using sachets, not proper meals of the cuisines he mentioned

  35. Grigori_the_Lemur

Hahahahahahahaha<urk><choke> (laughed so hard I swallowed my tongue) Bless his/her heart. Obviously never cooked much for themselves beyond opening packages and nuking/baking.

  36. the-caped-cadaver

Ah yes. The cherished personal chef position.

    For ***$8,000 per year***.
