Yes they did ! They came out cute and I’m sure they are also delicious.

If you’re wanting more bakery style muffins that rise more don’t fill each hole with batter so they can get bigger. πŸ™‚ They will bake more evenly that way!

  3. PaganQueenNaturally

I would definitely eat those! πŸ˜‚

  4. Try baking it on higher temperature for 5 minutes then lowering it down to regular for the remaining bake time.

Ah, but I bet they were pretty tasty! Great work!

I’m gonna bet they are delicious

They look fantastic! I would happily shovel those into my mouth.

Uh I’m sorry, why are you being so rude to your muffins?! They look tasty!

  9. Often the messy looking food is the best tasting. They look great! ETA: I used to beat myself up about how terrible my pie crust looked (cracked, uneven, etc) but I never once heard my family complain. Just enjoy them and be proud of what you made.

I’ve been doing a lot of muffins lately (mostly pumpkin muffins) but this is *completely* normal and attractive results, if not desirable. This means all your fruit didn’t sink to the bottom and is probably indicative of good distribution.

Homemade muffins will never look like coffee shop muffins because most of those are baked in factory-bakeries and then distributed to stores, and Pinterest, like most social media, is completely manufactured to be the best of people. People don’t show soggy, deflated bakes on Pinterest and then expect you to take baking advice from them. I like it in r/baking because it is a comfy place to share our successes and our failures.

i bet they still taste good. if you want really good looking blueberry muffins though google jordan marsh blueberry muffins recipe. the sugar he sprinkles on top sparkles when you take it out of the oven and it is soooo good!

What do you mean? They look tasty. Lots of good fruit visible there to make them look delicious!

Depending on your recipe, double check that your baking powder or baking soda isn’t old or expired. Fresher ingredients is better. The fruit could have also disrupted the rise a little, but the fruit is also the star attraction here.

I make ugly bakes. It’s just a thing for me. But they taste amazing! My coworkers never mind the appearance bcs they’ve come to trust I’ll deliver!!!!!

If you don’t like how they look, try drizzling some glaze over them. 1 cup powdered sugar and 2 tablespoons lemon juice (I imagine any juice would work)

I think they look great but another trick is to reserve 3-4 berries per muffin and put them on top (press down so they’re half-buried) after you fill the muffin cups. Then sprinkle the tops with sanding sugar or turbinado sugar. Those two tricks will give you a very bakery-like vibe!

Sez who? I’d destroy those warm with some butter!

  18. alarmingly_oblivious

I think they look just fine! Dont worry about it too much. They look yummy! (Coming from a bakery owner!)

Our muffin expectations, like those of our bodies, have been ruined by overly pretty photography and fakery. Your muffins look just how homemade muffins are supposed to look and they look great doing it!

I bet they are “pretty delicious”!

  21. kavalejava

I seen pretty baking, but tasted so dry. Yours looks scrumptious and delicious. I wish my muffins looked so delicious.

  22. I’d eat them! And to be honest all that really matters is how they taste.

Mine don’t always come out pretty because I stuff way too many blueberries in them.

Sometimes they even rise straight up vs crowning to a real muffin top but to be honest it doesn’t matter because they never last very long.
