Lemon Blueberrry w Lemon Buttercream !

If anyone has suggestions on a new buttercream recipe for the next time (how to get smoother frosting) or overall tips, let me know! I have recently started decorating cakes for family or close friends as a gift for their birthday (this one for my own) and I could use all the help for this journey as I can get! Everyone in this sub is so talented!

Simple elegance, perfectly executed, and your sides are amazing.

What kind of buttercream did you use? That will determine some tips.

Cute!! Good job and happy birthday.

The frosting looks pretty good already. Is it American buttercream? If so, I recommend whipping the butter for at least 10 minutes before adding the powdered sugar. And after everything is combined, whip that sucker for another 5 minutes. You could also pop the buttercream in the microwave for a FEW seconds to give it a smoother consistency. Microwaving it gets rid of the air bubbles which makes it smoother.
