I grew up eating khobz tawa because my aunts (on my dad's side) would knead and make the dough. I loved watching them make it without even measuring! As I grew older, I tried making it myself and I failed more times than I can count. It took me years to get this very simple bread right.

Now, it's a very nostalgic dish for me. It has a distinct smell that takes me back to childhood. I love eating it with beans, eggs, or just simply drizzling honey on top and dipping it in Adani tea (if you've been to any of the Yemeni coffee houses, you know how good that tea is!).
