Decanted 45 minutes before approaching. Greeted with a pronounced aroma of rich dark red fruits–especially cherries! and blackberries, mint, licorice, cloves, grass, pepper, with light cream and soft oak. Medium bodied lovely ruby color. Needed more time, so I went back twice. Third taste, about 2.5 hours in, the aroma was less pronounced, some raspberry notes popped up (as well as a little chocolate), and everything just came together in a most satisfyingly complex and balanced finish.
I do know this will only get better in the cellar, but I had a rough morning yesterday and wanted to give myself a treat. It's very drinkable right now, and I'm going to buy another 2 bottles to hold a bit.

I had this last year at my gf’s birthday dinner. No regrets. It was lovely. Italian place so the food pairing was perfect.
Tignanello is always a great solution to rough times!
Also already had one and it is already drinking nicely with some air.
