Kirkland Barolo is made by Fontanafredda, as confirmed by the tax strip.

Now, I don’t know if Fontanafredda is offloading lower quality barrels to Kirkland Signature, I don’t think so. So essentially it is Fontanafredda white label, which is probably the world’s best selling Barolo.

It’s worth every penny. Good wine for cheap.

Funny, I just bought 2 of these today for $20 each and popped one when I got home. It was decent but needed a TON of air to open up. Tart and acidic for the first 2hrs or so. I bet it’ll be better tomorrow or even the next day.

Initial impression is that it could really use about 5 more years of aging. 10 if possible . But still good for the price, I’d say. Very light in color and notes of cherry and oak.

It’s good, but very young. Give it a lot of air.

One of my favorite economically priced wines. In the NY area the pallet sells out quickly. Does not last long on the floor.

Enjoyed this last night, but I would certainly recommend aging at least 3-5yrs, if not more

Both my wife and I enjoy this wine, regardless of price.
