Ingredients:
• 1 liter whole milk
• 5 tbsp short-grain rice (or crush regular rice if not short-grain)
• 1 cup sugar
• 1 tsp vanilla
• 1 egg yolk
• 3 tbsp cornstarch (or wheat starch)
• 2 tbsp cream (optional, for extra deliciousness)
• Water (for soaking rice and for baking dish)
• Hazelnuts and pistachios (for garnish)

Instructions:
1. Prepare the rice:
For this dessert, it’s best to use short-grain rice. Soak the rice in water for 2–3 hours.
2. Cook the rice:
In a separate pot, cook the soaked rice with 2 cups of water until tender.
3. Prepare milk mixture:
In another pot, mix 1 liter of cold whole milk with 1 cup sugar until well combined. Warm this milk on the stove while checking the rice.
4. Prepare egg mixture:
In a bowl, add 1 egg yolk, 3 tablespoons cornstarch, and 1 teaspoon vanilla. Pour a little of the cold milk into the bowl and stir until everything is dissolved.
5. Combine rice, milk, and egg mixture:
Add the cooked rice and the egg mixture to the warm milk on the stove. Stir continuously over low heat to prevent lumps.
6. Add cream:
Add 2 tablespoons of cream to make the pudding more delicious. Keep stirring until fully combined.
7. Check consistency:
While stirring, check the consistency. When it reaches a creamy thickness, similar to porridge, turn off the heat.
8. Bake (optional):
Pour the pudding into individual bowls and place them in a larger baking dish. Add a little water to the dish. Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C with only the top heat until the tops are nicely browned.
9. Cool and serve:
Let the puddings cool slightly, then chill in the fridge until ready to serve. Decorate with hazelnuts and pistachios before serving.

Let’s make it together. [Music] For this dessert, it’s best to use short grain rice. Soak the rice in water for two to three hours. Then cook it with two cups of water until the rice is soft and tender. [Music] [Music] [Music] in a separate pot. Mix one liter of cold whole milk with one cup of sugar until well combined. [Music] In another bowl, add one egg yolk, two tablespoons of corn starch, and 1 tsp of vanilla. Pour in a little of the cold milk and stir until all the ingredients are completely dissolved. [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] Now turn on the heat under the pot with the milk to warm it up. Meanwhile, check if the rice is cooked and tender. [Music] Now add the mixture from the bowl and the cooked rice to the warm milk on the stove and stir well until everything is combined.
