One time my uber driver raved to me about this place lol. He said it was bomb

  2. I’ve been there and found it perfectly tasty. But I also like Fogo so…

  3. Been to the one in Texas and loved it more than Fogo

I like it the most out of all the brazilian steakhouses. Keep in mind I live way closer to fogo and Texas and I still go to chama gaucha as it is the best.

Heard from a good friend, it’s a better experience then the other 2 places and food was better.

  6. I went to Texas de Brazil (I know, another chain) in Orland Park and found the overall experience way better than fogo. Most improved aspect was the service (I tend to feel rushed and ignored at fogo). Our server was attentive, offered refills on the potatoes/bread/plantains, and made sure our drinks didn’t run empty.

Their offerings were similar to fogo but they had some more options like Lamb Picanha, Lamb Leg, and Ribs. Their lobster bisque on the buffet was good too.

The only thing I missed was the cheese with honey that fogo has. They don’t offer it 😔

It’s pretty good. I feel like it used to be really great but it’s just pretty good now. Food is better than Fogo. Service is better too.

Better than Fogo. My Brazilian neighbors like it the best and can vouch for their farofa.

Chama for the meat. Texas for the lobster bisque. Fogo cuz that’s the only other one you know

  10. Best Brazilian steak house in the Chicago area. If service was a problem at Fogo, Chama is leauges above. These guys are very adamant at topping off all liquids and sides and even pull up your chair for you. If you go during their busiest days, your only problem is gonna be to keep up with all the meat options you gonna be bombarded with once that card on the table is green. I see you ask about sauces for the meats, and if i remember correctly, there are 3 sauces (could be 4) a mild picante sauce, chimichurri, and i belive some sort of mint sauce. If there was a 4th option it was a a spicier version of the picante sauce.

Have been there more than once and it’s very good

  12. I haven’t been here in ages, but it was the only place I’ve ever been that had ribeye. Unless someone corrects me. It’s been a while since I’ve been to Fogo or Texas de Brazil.

People like fogo de chao until they’ve had chauma

Chama Gaucha is way more delicious than Fogo de Chao. The last time my family went to Fogo, we did not feel welcome. They scolded us for bringing a child in a stroller and they refused to give us a high chair. Chama Gaucha had a way more welcoming vibe and the food is amazing! Definitely way better

  15. Chama is fantastic! If you want to save some bucks but get pretty good selections Brazil Express. The salad bar is way smaller than all the others and they don’t have all the cuts, but they have the important cuts.

Chama is fantastic and better than Fogo or Texas

Chama is the best around here. Weirdly? Fogo is the winner around Toronto according to all my Brazilian friends.
