I don’t know what to make. I was thinking pasta with pesto, but my husband doesn’t really like pesto so I’m leaning towards couscous have some frozen spinach and about a cup of tabouli left over I don’t know what else to add or if that would even taste good help me figure out dinner, please and thank you

Salmon cakes alllllllll day
fried rice maybe?
Salmon patties are always a hit in my house
Pink salmon is very bland so be sure so season well
salmon patties with couscous/tabouli mixed and spinach on the side sounds really good.
or like a salmon/spinach quiche?
Your husband needs better taste, pesto is delicious!
The salmon is bland and dry so you will need to supercharge the salt and fat.
A creamy sauce with a little lemon and maybe Parmesan cheese could go great with a pasta, a bigger one since the salmon will flake. Couscous might end up as pile. Pearl couscous would be better, short chewy pasta would be best IMHO.
If you had a lot of tabouli it would go good over it (might be a bit dry, maybe spring salt over salmon and add some more olive oil) very healthy low carb meal.
Finally you can mix it with salt, egg, flour, breadcrumbs and pan fry patties for salmon cakes. Lots of work and mess but everything taste really fucking good fried.
Salmon cakes, or put it on salad or rice with some sort of Asian style sauce. Probably wouldn’t be bad with couscous and tabouli. Quiche isn’t bad either.
Onigiri
The canned pink salmon is usually coho or sockeye and basically one notch above cat food. The only thing I do with it is make salmon cakes or salmon salad. Season well.
Sushi bake!
Maybe like a salmon tagine type dish… with onion, garlic, red peppers, Moroccan spices, lemon… serve over the couscous?
I’d do a pasta salad: cooked rotini (I’m basic), drained chickpeas, the canned salmon, capers, lemon juice, crumbly cheese of choice (wouldn’t judge over shredded cheddar either) and enough plain yogurt or sour cream (or mayo if you nastay).
Also could add: olives, marinated artichoke hearts, pickled beets or parsnip or gherkins, something spicy
Edit: salt and pepper to taste obviously, wasn’t trying to do an official recipe™ but I guess it’s worth saying
– Wild rice salmon chowder! (That’s my favorite)
– Salmon salad sandwiches, wraps (like tuna)
– Sushi bowl
– Salmon melts
– Salmon pot pie soup
– Salmon pâté on crackers
I’ve seen some salmon loaf recipes but I’m not sure about that one. Haha
Edit: What’s up with the format now? Had to made it readable
My dad used to make canned salmon into “fish sticks” and pan fry them. One of my favorite food memories growing up, and one that I just can’t seem to replicate.
Anyway, that’s my suggestion
I’d make gochujang, honey and soy sauce glazed salmon loaf with a side of long grain rice cooked with coconut milk and minced ginger and chopped onion and some mixed frozen veggies added in. Maybe an Asian salad kit on the side.

I made this once.
There were no leftovers, and I was the only one eating.
Salmon burgers 🍔
I just eat canned fish with avocado mayo and either pickled ginger, or pickled red onions, or relish.
Salmon cakes (they’re like crab cakes) are always my go-to for tinned salmon! They’re really tasty with capers!
Salmon patties with peas and mac n cheese.
Rillettes or œufs brouillés – scrambled eggs, with roe
Couscous and salmon salad with a bright and tangy vinaigrette.
Salmon patties with tomato and avocado, pepper and chili oil all wrapped in a bun is what I’d do tbh.
I just made some fried rice with jarred salmon 🙂
