– from a culinary conversation with acclaimed chef Sabrina Ghayour, to a full day of French-inspired festivities for Beaujolais Day.

On 21st October 2025, the much-loved Galvin Book Club returns to Essex after a five year hiatus, hosted at The Galvin Green
Man in Braintree with special guest Sabrina Ghayour – the best-selling cookbook author and celebrated champion of Persian and Middle Eastern flavours.

The Galvin Book Club became a staple event across Essex and London, previously featuring some of the UK’s most renowned chefs
and authors including Jeremy Lee, Michel Roux, Tom Kerridge, and Mark Hix. Relaunching, the event will see guests enjoy a lunch menu inspired by Ghayour’s signature dishes, alongside lively conversation, book signings, and a Q&A session led by the Galvin team.
Tickets are priced at £69.00 per person, and include a welcome drink, two-course lunch, and signed copy of Persiana Easy.

Celebrate Beaujolais Day at Galvin Bistrot & Bar, Spitalfields

Over in the heart of Spitalfields, Galvin Bistrot & Bar will once again mark the annual Beaujolais
Nouveau celebration on 20th
November 2025, with a day-long fête of French food, wine, and joie de vivre.

From breakfast through to dinner, the team will serve up authentic dishes and pours of the year’s first Beaujolais, welcoming
both regulars and new guests to enjoy one of the most spirited days of the culinary calendar. Expect a convivial atmosphere, traditional music, and plenty of Beaujolais flowing.
