When it comes to serving great Italian food here in New Hampshire, you have to know what you are doing.  There are a lot of Italians who have some sort of recipe from their favorite Nonna that has been around for generations, so you better have the real deal.

Another way you can tell there are a lot of Italians here is how fast the Sebastian Maniscalco shows sold out the last time he came around.

There is one restaurant in Manchester, New Hampshire that has been voted the best in the entire state, according to lovefood.com.

Campo Enoteca in Manchester, NH Has Been Voted the Best

You can’t go wrong, no matter what type of food you’re talking about when you hear the words, “farm to table.”

There are many reasons why you need to make a visit to this place.  They have a great atmosphere, the wine list is great and the food is the star, without a doubt and absolutely delicious.  If you want to go for a charcuterie and a glass of wine, they make the board right there in front of you.

Wild boar is also on the menu.  Very Tuscan, very Italian.

The Yelp reviews for Campo Enoteca say some really nice things about the place.

Started off with a glass of wine and caprese. Yum! Then ordered the Basil Pesto Tagliatelle with pistachios. OMG! This was AMAZING! The creaminess of the pesto sauce with the delicious freshly made pasta was DEVINE!

The bread and dipping oil and the homemade ricotta appetizer (a happy hour special) were OFF THE HOOK. I will dream about that homemade sourdough bread and the ricotta until my dying day.

The service is exceptional as well. The beef osso bucco pasta was so good. The scallops were prepared perfect in both dishes. Will be back.

Lots of people talked about the service and how great it was.  The consensus is that the waitstaff really takes care of you.

Another review said that the owners “act as if they are real, old school Italians.”  The reviewer viewed that as a negative, but not me.  I don’t know about you, but that’s what I want when I walk into an Italian restaurant.

Take Massimos, for example, in Portsmouth.  That guy comes directly from Italy and we love him and his food…. and wine…. and desserts.

If you’ve been to Campo Enoteca, I’d be curious what you thought of your experience there.  Email me anytime at sarah.sullivan@townsquaremedia.com.
