hey guys, I am a humble teenager that tried to do a seafood boil by myself (I am the only one who eats seafood in my household, I did share this with the neighbors though).

I am not near any coastline, so I just got the freshest snow crab and shrimp I could find in my area.

For flavor I used Louisiana Fish Fry seafood boil seasoning as well as some lemon slices and garlic cloves.

The meat and vegetables absorbed a TON of spice when I let it soak, so there’s barely any seasoning on top. I did have a garlic-seasoning butter dip on the side.

The shrimp might have beans a tad bit overcooked, slightly slightly chewy.

Overall this was CRAZY good, somehow the grocery store snow crab was miles better than any I’ve had at a restaurant. any tips or recommendation for next time? I didn’t add sausage because I don’t eat red meats.

Honestly doesn’t look bad. Worked on a shellfish farm for a bit and we’d do this super fresh. Good times

If you want to add sausage, Amylu Andouille is as close as you’ll get without red meat. Also, Cajun butter

    Good job! 🙂

Make sure you put the sauce/drippings in a bowl to dip in with some butter on the side!

Only thing that looks seasoned is the crab 🤣

Great first attempt! What would you do differently next time?

You crushed it. You’re my inspiration for this week.

Way more successful than my attempt.

Good job. Mushrooms, thick cut onions, brussel sprouts, broccoli, cauliflower, all that jazz is good in a seafood boil too

Amazing! That’s not an attempt, it’s mission accomplished.

The best part of shell fish is it’s never bad unless it’s spoiled. Shrimp is what taught me how to balance seasoning. Good for you. I would absolutely eat the hell out of this

Do you deliver? Seriously, it looks and sounds great! The only change I’d make is to have a nice, dense, crusty bread to serve with it and mop up all the sauce.

You are so rad! Looks great, I lived in the Lowcountry when I was young and this looks like the food from a lot of the social events that I attended. We often used hillshire farms sausage and sometimes would add onion. My nana added little neck clams, but she was a Yankee breaking the rules of Frogmore Stew- the term we used in my area for this meal.
