If you’re ever passing through Abita Springs,LA- this is one of my favorites, from a guy with a pantry absolutely full of rubs and spice mixes. Is a small town shop rolling their own, so no ingredient list, but I gather, salt, msg, onion, garlic, and my draw- some other combo that isn’t quite smoky but gives a fantastic additional nondescript outdoor cooking amplifier (definitely NOT liquid smoke at all in any way) . Doing this seasoned salt with a little bit of red boat salt. Cooked steak with just kosher salt for years (I like to dry brine and smoke before searing), and personally feel like I was missing out after getting off my high horse.
