Hey all,
We’re a couple in Ahmedabad planning a coffee-only cloud kitchen (delivery only). Feeling stuck with:
Too many bean options (Arabica, Robusta, blends)
Costing vs quality tradeoffs
Keeping consistency with simple equipment
Would love suggestions on:
Best beans/blends for beginners
Affordable roasters / sourcing in India
Minimal must-have menu to start (espresso, cold brew, etc.)
Any advice, blogs, or YouTube recs would be gold 🙏

I’ll be honest, I’ve never ordered coffee from a cloud kitchen. And in the one-off times I’ve ordered Starbucks via delivery, the experience has been underwhelming. The coffee is delivered not at the ideal temperature, the delivery guy usually swooshes it around, etc.
Why not open up a cafe so people who actually value coffee can become your customers?
Ahmedabad badly needs real coffee spots, although there are a couple here and there.
Also, sorry to be a little blunt, if you don’t know the basics of coffee, like what kind of beans to get, why are you getting into this business? Just to make money? It’s not going to be as easy if you’re asking such basic questions on Reddit. Even some of the baristas in Ahmedabad know more than what you’ve asked here.
