Got my first Weber used off marketplace for $80 was barely used roughly 30lbs of different coals and bunch of other generic grill accessories. (Pictured) cleaned it up in about an hour while listening to music. Dawn power wash BKF stainless wool and Brillo pads. Only slight amount of expected rust on the lids rim/coal grate.
Wheels are missing the white plastic Weber rim it was dry rotted plastic fell out. Upgraded from the $20 Walmart 17” square I haven’t used the Weber yet.
How did I do? Everything moves freely. What Weber specific accessories should I get? I’m thinking vortex because I love wings but I also do a lot of steak. That’s the only Weber specific accessory I know of, what would you recommend?

Nice that you knew to say it was your *first* kettle. Vortex is great. Slow n sear is nice but not totally necessary.
If it came with the stock charcoal trays then you are prolly set for a while. If not, you need something to make two-zone cooking. I use my slow and sear more than the stock trays.
Congrats! I am hooked on Weber grilling, as you will soon be. They look so simple. Yet they provide so many great cooking possibilities. Enjoy!

Nice Copperhead, looks in pretty good shape. Don’t worry too much about accessories just yet, get the feel of how to cook on the thing, but a vortex is always a good idea. Charcoal rails or baskets as well, and later on down the road maybe an OnlyFire rotisserie setup. And I’m assuming you have a charcoal chimney starter? Those would be the primary things right now.
Nice score! The vortex is definitely great for wings. I’d also recommend grabbing a set of grill grates for better searing, and maybe a hinged grate if you want to add coals midway. Weber’s charcoal baskets can make two-zone cooking way easier.
You can have years and years with this beaut!
