After taking a decorating class a while ago, watching tiktoks, and enjoying all the posts in this sub, I finally made my own cookies from scratch.
Wow. I’ve always appreciated the patience, creativity, precision, talent and care shown here. But after all my struggles to make my own, I take my hat off to you all!!
I’ve included pics of my own first attempts (“sugar and spice cookie” base), and I’m looking forward to improving on EVER-Y-THING!! (After struggling with icing consistencies, I’m going with “why yes, these ARE the fancy, knobbly kind of pumpkin”. Lol)
So thank you everyone: for sharing what you do, and how you do it.
And Happy Canadian Thanksgiving to all!

Happy Thanksgiving! Just say they’re gourds!
Pumpkins are like that! 😉 They look great, especially for firsts! Keep going girl!
Half the problem is finding the consistency that works for you and what you are trying to do at the time. My secret is not pouring water in even a teaspoon at a time. I use a water spray bottle. When I started doing that it was a game changer!
Wow, great handwriting!
Very nice
