Noticed a new Senegalese restaurant in Oakwood the other day. AFAIK, this is the only Senegalese restaurant in the GTA. Instant du Palais does have some Senegalese dishes on their menu, but they are Ivorian owned and the menu is more pan-West Africa.

Thieboudienne is the national dish of Senegal, usually consisting of seasoned rice, stewed vegetables, and a fish. Allegedly, Jollof Rice evolved from this dish. Can't speak to authenticity, as I've never been to Senegal. Price was 30.

Restaurant seems to be family run, and the staff was very friendly and excited to meet someone who knew about the cuisine. I want to try the yassa and dibi next.
