Friend of my room mate had this dusty old thing he said he would sell for $200 so I jumped on it. I was told at first he had a Gaggia Classic for $200 and said I would buy it. Then I found out it was this Silvia V3 with PID, bottomless portafilter, and multiple baskets! It was very dirty when I got it but I cleaned her up and back flushed it with cafiza. Bought a new scale, KinGrinder K6, and glasses to go with it.

Soon you’ll need a good quality electric grinder, but first you’ll have time to get a nice bicep.

That’s a great cop. Just make sure it’s not rusting under the drip tray!

Terrific setup. Congrats! You’ll be able to make excellent coffee and learn a ton with that. Is this an upgrade from another machine for you?

  6. Pro tip: put it on a timer so you wake up to a warm machine.

Congrats! You in Siloam Springs? I had Pour Jons when visiting JBU.
