Bamboo Coffee & Donuts in Louisville menu, fall specials
Bamboo Coffee & Donuts will soon have a new name and a second location in Louisville, but before that, here’s what we tried this fall.
A popular Italian restaurant will close its Louisville location at the end of October.
Milano will shut down at 11300 Westport Road, with the restaurant’s final day of service set for Oct. 31.
“It is with a heavy heart that we announce Milano’s on Westport Road will close its doors for the last time on October 31, 2025,” reads a Facebook statement from Oct. 10. “We are deeply grateful for the trust and loyalty you’ve shown our Milano family. Although it’s hard to say goodbye, we hope and pray that in the not-too-distant future, we may return again to Louisville.”
The family-owned eatery launched in 2000 at 1745 Midland Tail in Shelbyville. That location will stay open, according to Milano’s Facebook post.
Even though the Kentucky-based restaurant is leaving Louisville, Milano has plans to open another location in the state.
On Oct. 3, Milano announced plans for a new location at 135 East Main St. in Georgetown. It’s expected to open in November.
As is adorned on the restaurant’s menu, Milano’s is known as the “home of the calzones,” with 13 calzone variants available, including classics like an Italian meatball calzone. There’s also calzones inspired by a cheeseburger, a seafood-filled one with shrimp, lobster meat and calamari and the option to build your own. Plus, Milano’s offers “The Godfather Challenge,” inviting patrons to consume a colossal calzone in under an hour. If they complete the challenge in time, the meal is free. If they don’t, the challenge costs $49.95.
Beyond calzones, Milano’s expansive menu features pizzas, pasta dishes, saldas and house specials like a 10-ounce ribeye, salmon rigatoni and a “Tour of Italy” plate, which includes a combo of lasagna, fettucine alfredo and chicken parmesan.
