If you plan to dine at Olive Garden this holiday season, consider yourself out of luck.

That’s because the massive Italian restaurant chain is set to close its doors completely on Thanksgiving Day, which lands on Nov. 27 this year, and Christmas Day.

The restaurants are set to re-open the day after Thanksgiving, but the company website warned that opening hours could vary the day before both holidays.

In fact, in an updated section of the website, Olive Garden shared that, “Depending on the amount of business on the day before these holidays, the restaurants may close early”.

“We leave this decision to the discretion of the management team. Please contact the restaurant directly for the scheduled closing time the day before Thanksgiving or Christmas.”

The decision to close came about to “allow team members to spend time with their family and friends,” the message stated.

Additionally, “Hawaii, Puerto Rico, Guam and international holiday hours may vary by location,” the restaurant chain said.

Afterward, regular hours will stay the same for the remainder of the season.

Olive Garden now joins a growing list of businesses closing doors on the two family-oriented holidays, which includes TJ Maxx, Hobby Lobby, Best Buy, and more.
