Took it to 135 on my Traeger, let it rest for ~10mins getting my Blackstone hot, and seared. Rested for 25mins. Super tasty, reminds me of prime rib.

Those cuts look atrocious but the inside looks good.

Nice job! I did my first picanha roast a couple weeks ago. My local market had them on sale so I thought I’d give it a shot. I pretty much followed the same process you did. I even used Kinder’s Prime Rib rub along with an extra dose of cracked black pepper. Seared it at the end with my gas grill. I let the fat cap drip into the flames where it flared up and blackened both sides. Did not take long to sear this way lol. Medium rare on the inside.
Came out glorious and will def be smoking one again soon. Next time I’m gonna pay attention to the direction of the grain and cut against it for a more tender chew.
