I grew up vegan and although Iāve long started eating meat and dairy as an adult, I still love the niche vegan foods I had when I was younger. I randomly remembered these ice cream sandwiches that were made from rice milk ice cream, which I realize sounds weird/unappetizing but man they were so good. We used to buy their line of dairy free rice milk, ice dream by the quart, and these. Had no clue that they were dupes for the more popular āItās Itā ice cream sandwiches from San Francisco. Never had them but now Iām considering spending $100 to have them shipped to me on Gold Belly.
For those who havenāt had or heard of either, the concept is vanilla (or mint) ice cream between two oatmeal cookies, and dipped in a dark chocolate coating. So so so good. Iām hoping at least ONE person remembers the dairy free version and if youāve had the Itās It brand, is it worth the investment?

Its its are always worth it.
I remember rice dream! I wasn’t vegan but ran into it at the “diet food store” often back in the late 80s. Rice Dream was decent for what it was, I was also a fan of nayonnaise:)
I was just talking about these mint pies!!! I grew up in the 90s and got these from the tiny local health food store even though I wasnāt vegan.
You can sometimes find Its-It located at chain grocery stores. But, thatās on the West Coast, and idk where you are
I have seen It’s It’s at WinCo and Walmart but I live in Arizona. The mint ones are so good.
Love It’s It. They’re not available much around here but I have gotten them a few times at Grocery Outlet so if you have any of those it could be worth a look.
You can order them cheaper through the actual website I believešš¼
Loved these so so much. I grew up heavily lactose intolerant and these helped me feel like a normal kid at birthday parties.
wow I haven’t seen or thought of these rice dream ones in decades, you just triggered a major flashback to my childhood. my mom worked at a health food store for awhile and we used to eat these and carob dipped rice cakes and that Eden soy milk and these wild tofu hotdogs…. what a vivid visceral memory you unlocked for me!
