[Music] Hello everyone. Want to welcome you back to the kitchen. So today we’re diving into another southern recipe. We are going to be making steak and gravy and we’re going to serve this up with some mashed potatoes. And to all my amazing viewers, I want to thank you for coming back. So, with that out of the way, let’s grab our ingredients and let’s make some steak and gravy. For our beef and gravy, you’re going to need the following. Two lbs of the thin cut steak, beef steak, Cajun seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, beef broth, brown gravy mix, hot sauce, butter, diced onion, bell pepper, and celery. If you enjoy my content and want to help support the channel, hit the join button below this video. So, we have some oil that’s been heated up in a Dutch oven over a mediumigh heat. And what we’re going to do is we are going to add in our thin cut uh sliced beef, which we’ve seasoned with our Cajun seasoning. And we’re going to just cook this a couple of minutes per side. So, now that our beef is seared down, we’ve added our butter to our um Dutch oven. And to this, we are going to add in our onions, celery, and bell pepper. And we are going to sauté this for about 5 minutes till the um vegetables become tender. Okay, so this has been going for about 5 minutes. And as you can see, our vegetables are starting to get tender. So to this I am going to add in my beef broth. And this is four cups. Then I’m going to be adding a little bit more Cajun seasoning, our onion powder, our garlic powder, and we’re going to put in a little bit of hot sauce. Uh, it’s probably going to be about a teaspoon or two. Give that a stir. Now we’re going to add in our brown gravy mix. And we’re going to make sure this gets whisked all together cuz we don’t want any lumps. And now we’re adding back our beef and any drippings. And we’re going to make sure that this is completely covered by the gravy. [Music] Now, what we’re going to do is we’re going to let this come up to a boil and then we’re going to lower it to a simmer and cover and cook it for 1 to two hours. So, this has been simmering for an hour. So, we’re going to give this a check. Well, we may have a little bit more to go. So, but we’re going to check and make sure that the seasonings are good. Yeah, we’re going to need just a little bit more agent seasoning. And I’m going to put in roughly about a teaspoon. Give this a quick stir. And we’re going to let this simmer for another 30 minutes to an hour. So, this has been going another 45 minutes and everything looks good to go. Give this a good mix. Oh yeah. Oh yeah. Beef is perfectly tender. So, we’re going to serve this up with some mashed potatoes. Get a good bit of this gravy over our potatoes and get another piece of meat. And there we go. So, let’s give this a try. Now that we’ve got everything all plated up, let’s give this a taste. I’m going to go in for some gravy with the mashed potatoes first. Oh, the meat so tender. Don’t even need a knife. This is really good. Haven’t had this in forever. So, I really do hope y’all give this recipe a try.
