Many years ago, my brother got a BBE and my entire family started down the espresso journey, upgrading along the way. I was lagging behind everyone else, but benefitted by inheriting their equipment as they upgraded. The nice thing about being a fast follower is I learned from their struggles. For example, most my family upgraded from Brevilles to Profitecs. Nothing against Profitec (great machines), but when they needed servicing or a part replacement- it was really difficult to get support in our area, often requiring shipping the machine to a servicing facility which can be costly. Consequently, I self-justified the LMMR despite the painfully high price bc of the maintenance and repair network (and I love the brand/look). Ultimately, I made the leap from a BBE to a Zerno to a Zerno + LMMR. End game! (Hopefully forever!)

Sweet setup! The mini is so good. You measured twice and cut once right? it barely fits 🙂
What are your favourite cups?
Did you win the lottery between the two photos?
BBE is the gateway 🙂
I use a La Marzocco at work (and a BBE at home) and I love it so much I’m genuinely considering saving for the Linea Mini. It’s quite a price tag though!
