I’m looking at this recipe specifically, it’s my second time using the crock pot but the first time I’m making chicken in it. I typically use thighs or tenders instead of buying breasts the past few years since they’ve gotten so expensive. Would I be able to do the same thing here?

  1. I have. Also I like using a rotisserie chicken and get little of both. Plus it’s cheap and quick.

I use thighs a lot, since they do stay more moist after cooking, but basically I use whatever kind of chicken I bought!

thighs are easier to get right than breasts.

Yes, without a doubt. I just made white bean chili with chicken, and used thighs instead of breasts.

How are you all not finding cooking with chicken thighs results in a really fatty sauce?

It’s cooking… you can use anything in anything. Don’t chain yourself to a recipe. Just friggin try things! (That are cooked to temperature and safe to eat)

You can use thighs instead of breasts anytime you wanna have a bit more fun babe!

Thighs are always the right choice for anything slow and low. The extra fat of the dark meat gives more flavor and doesn’t dry out like breast meat can.
