This easy challah recipe is perfect for Rosh Hashanah. Learn to braid a round challah, plus follow the recipe for a super tender, soft crumbed water challah. Also known as ‘berches’ or ‘wasser challah’, water challah is a lighter, less dense version of the traditional bread, made without egg in the dough. Recipe creator Charlotte Thurgood does recommend brushing the finished loaf with egg for that beautiful shine, however.
