I’ve been following this sub for a while, and so I very reluctantly decided to pick up some Fishwife smoked trout—there are a lot of feelings about this brand, but I had to try it for myself. Paired it with some roasted eggplant, pickled carrots, yogurt sauce, and fresh basil. I know the trout is supposed to be their best offering. I gotta say, it’s amazing. Delightfully salty, so smoky, and a very solid and perfect texture. I’m very happy. I bought a couple other FW tins, but so far, I’m very unhappy to admit that I love it.
