Had Deulkkae Samgyetang (perilla-seed ginseng chicken soup) for lunch today.
The broth was rich and nutty, the chicken perfectly tender, and that one shot of ginseng liquor made me feel fully recharged.
You can’t really see it in the photo, but inside the hot stone pot there’s a whole chicken stuffed with glutinous rice, simmered together with ginseng, chestnuts, and jujubes until everything just melts together.
