PORTLAND, Ore. (KATU) — Gabriel Pascuzzi, a Top Chef alum, has opened a new restaurant named Hey Luigi in northwest Portland.

The cocktail and pasta bar is described as “a place where Italy’s timeless aperitivo tradition meets Portland’s inventive culinary spirit, Hey Luigi brings together craft cocktails, inspired pastas and Inventive twists on Italian classics,” a press release stated.
The restaurant pays homage to Pascuzzi’s father and the family’s Italian-American heritage. Pascuzzi’s grandfather immigrated from Calabria in the 1930s and settled in Portland.
“The family’s culinary traditions, like baking bread in a salvaged Hobart mixer, instilled in Pascuzzi a belief that food is about more than flavor; it is about memory, community, and identity,” a press release said.
Hey Luigi is located at 2175 NW Raleigh Street in Portland.
