Somewhere I have my copy of this church cookbook, but mom's is better because she recorded our reactions and her tweaks.
I wish my handwriting was half as good as hers, because I want to start adding comments too. Because last night's sugar cookies, I got 24, not 40! Mrs. Morton must have had small spoons. I tried 1/2 tsp orange bakers emulsion instead of vanilla –yum.

The cover is long gone so you see the inside where mom indexed her regulars.
Edited: the second picture eventually did post.

Those look awesome-probably would be great in banana pudding!
Those cookies look sooo gooood!
What are Forgotten Cookies, please? (That’s what it looks like to my eyes!)
(Totally off topic – handwriting – grab a journal and a pen/pencil you love and just write everyday.
Paper planner, just a notebook to track some things, like maybe tracking when you cook from a book.
Just write and your writing will become more even and regular and that’s pretty much what reads as beautiful to our eyes.)
