[Music] Good morning. Today we are going to do fetush salad. So you need for this uh salad um we need lettuce, cucumber, tomato, onion, radish, cucumber, lemon, mint, parsley, olive oil and um pomegranate sauce. And also I did not show here in the video. Uh we’ll need also bread, bitter bread. So we’ll start by cutting all the vegetables in small size the way I’m cutting. If you cut in bigger size will not uh will not be a good one. [Music] uh this radish sometimes is there is some black on the skin but you don’t need to remove all I I don’t remove all the the red don’t need to and also for designs give nice color. [Music] The salad is uh traditional Libanese and most of uh Libanese people eat this salad almost every week. It’s very good and refreshing salad and very healthy also. [Music] Now you cut the capsicum in small pieces. [Music] [Music] tomato. You just remove that uh [Music] that small black piece. You just remove and cut the squares like this. [Music] [Music] Wash very good. the mint and parsley because too many times um dust you think you wash very good but uh all the time there is this dust and um and you soak it’s good to soak I all the time soak the vegetables in baking soda for around 30 minutes I fill of water. Wash a very good vegetables. Then fill it with water and put baking one spoon of baking soda. It kill also the if there is any worms or some bad things it will clean. [Music] [Music] this uh this uh hard part all the time. We remove it and leave the most soft one cuz very hard to eat that hard part of parsley. So just throw it [Music] [Music] [Music] Now the onion I like to cut in this way. Just cut half and then half again and then very thin. Cannot see very clear in this video but I cut it very thin. [Music] It makes the salad more elegant because if you cut too much is not good. [Music] [Music] Now the lettuce. Lettuce also we need to leave on the baking soda for 30 minutes to to kill all the bacteras and things that may be on the salad and dust. These are all the time too much dusty. It wash very good. And then you just put your salad in mix all together. You need to to make the sauce. You need to squeeze the lemon, one lemon, and mix with uh this pomegranate sauce and olive oil and mix them together. And can put salt also, but I always prefer to put salt on the salad straight away because um you can see exactly how much you put. Sometimes if you put on the sauce, you’re not sure. You may put too much then you damage your salad. So just mix it well and spread it to the salad [Music] salt. And then you can add also some sumach. Sumach and bread. Bread needs to be very crunchy bread. Uh normally you can put in on the oven or you can fry the pizza bread. You just cut it small cubes or you just break it like I do. You can fry the bread or you can uh put in the microwave also. It work if you if you need very quick put in the microwave or in the oven. the healthy option to put in the oven. And then when is um like this you just mix with the salad. If you have um parmesan ch cheese is you can spread it on the top also. It’s very delicious with parmesan cheese.
