Hey everyone! I decided to buy my first Webber today. Well I actually bought 2. The first one had the dent(pictures). Ex aged it and got it all together. Did the nuts refuse to go all the way on? Yes but I got it done! Can’t wait to cook up something tomorrow. Any recommendations for mods?

Welcome Kettle. How crazy you want to mod it?

Start with a vortex and a high quality grate. Hooks to hang the tools.

Other than that if you want to do long smokes and get nuts you can get a venom from spider grills. I have a second kettle with a venom and it’s impressive

The first thing I always recommend is getting a good temperature gauge if your model doesn’t have one. Also, a charcoal basket or a Slow ‘N Sear can up your game big time for longer cooks. Vortex is a must! Happy grilling man!

  4. The best accessory, hands down, is a dual probe thermometer (thermoworks has great quality). Also an instant read thermometer.

Obviously you’ll also want the standard stuff… something to clean it (I like the pumice stone “brushes” over wire bristles), beer, meat.

Welcome to the fam! I recommend the FireBoard 2 Drive thermometer (wifi – monitor temps from anywhere and everywhere), an instant read thermometer, and long gloves like welding-type gloves (not mitts) that protect your arms. Before I got the WSM, the Slow n Sear was something I used regularly.
