The wineries Geheimrat J. Wegeler**** and the managing partner Richard Grosche are ending their collaboration. This was announced by the wineries Wegeler in a statement. The separation is amicable, no reasons are given. Grosche will accompany the transition until January 2026, nothing is known about a possible succession.

Grosche was responsible for brand management, sales, and internationalization at Wegeler. Previously, he was the managing director of the winery Reichsrat von Buhl**** in the Pfalz from 2013 to 2019, and then until August 2021, he was the managing director of the winery Kartäuserhof*** on the Ruwer.

The wineries Wegeler were founded in 1882 as a family-run business. They consist of the main house in Oestrich-Winkel (Rheingau), the manor house in Bernkastel (Mosel), the winery Krone Assmannshausen*** (Rheingau) with its Pinot Noirs, and the Geheimrat J sparkling wine cellar. In 2021, the wineries Wegeler were sold to the investment company Villa Fortuna Weine in Wiesbaden as the main owner under the management of Ralf Frenzel (TreTorri Verlag) and Torsten Vogt.
