    My brother in law showed up to a bbq with a really thick steak at a great price. I still painfully laugh about it because it was a chuck roast. We still attempted to bbq it.

    As an avid member of this sub and various grilling subs, the fuck is wrong with you?

    Get a chuck roast, man. Same money, more meat, better when slow cooked.

    And the “the fuck is wrong with you?” is meant in a friendly way. Don’t slow cook a ribeye, there’s no reason.

    Slow cooking is best with the cheapest, tough cuts of meat. Save rib eyes for the grill.

    To the OP – ignore the haters. Some people, the only way they can feel superior is by tearing others down. We all learn. I’ve been cooking as an ‘adult’ for over 45 years. I am quite accomplished. I still learn things. Take the polite useful posts. Ignore the donkeys.
