How to Make Chocolate Banana Bread

Instructions

Heat your oven to 350°F. Grease a 9-by-5-inch loaf pan with nonstick cooking spray and set aside.
In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and sea salt. Set aside.
In a large bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork. Add the melted butter and oil and stir until combined. Stir in the brown sugar, egg, and vanilla extract. Stir until smooth.

Stir the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients, don’t overmix. Stir in ¾ cup of the chocolate chips.
Pour batter into prepared pan. Sprinkle the remaining ¼ cup of chocolate chips over the top of the bread. Bake for 50-65 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the bread comes out mostly clean, you might have some melted chocolate chips on the toothpick and that is fine. You just don’t want a lot of gooey batter. Check at 50 minutes, just to be safe. Oven times vary.

Welcome, like, share, and subscribe. [Music] All right, welcome back to another video, guys. Today I’m doing a chocolate banana bread. All right, so this is everything I’m going to be utilizing today and some flour. And the recipe will be on the screen or in the description. So, I’m not going to go over everything. Just giving you guys a quick overview of everything. So, I’m going to prep everything off camera and then I’ll be back when I start portioning and mixing stuff. All right, guys. So, at this point, I’m going to ask you to go ahead and preheat your oven to 350 and grease your your baking pan. I’m using I’m going to be using parchment paper for mine. Set that aside. All right. So, we’re going to start by adding our bananas. You want your bananas as ripe as possible. Get bananas in there. And the riper your bananas, the better. So like that. That’s perfect. Want to get a fork and just All right. So, in a separate container, I always advise breaking your eggs separate, but I know these eggs are good, but just always advise breaking them separate just in case. But I know these are good. Fresh fresh eggs. Well, let me not say I know they’re good. Let me just say I hope they’re good. And if you have the big eggs, you could just use one, but these are medium size, so I’m using two. All right. I’m going to add our brown sugar. And some people do brown and white. I’m just doing brown. Next I’m going to add is cinnamon. This is just going to be like I said the exact recipe is going to be in the description. So, and then vanilla. There we go. So, what we’re going to do now, guys, we’re going to give it a good mix. I’m going to give it a good mix and I’ll come back and let you guys see where we at. All right. So, this is what you’re looking for, guys. This is the texture you’re looking for. And I leave some of the chunks in it. I’m I’m not trying to break all of these cuz I like when I’m eating the banana bread and I could taste the banana and I got some of the chunks. Sometime I use nuts, but this one I’m doing chocolate. So, I want to have that banana. All right. So, we’re going to put this aside. Get a fresh bowl, clean bowl, and we’re going to do our dry. So, now we’re going to add our flour. When I’m baking, I like to just sift everything just to make sure no impure it is. Everything is sifted. You’d be surprised some stuff that you find that left back. Well, this time nothing. I’m going to do a teaspoon. This is baking soda. It’s just going right through. So, you’re not even seeing. All right, that’s about good enough. I’m going to do some salt. Do some some baking powder also. This will help rise our banana bread. All right, that’s about it. All righty. Let that sit there. Now, we’re going to get our our cuff our cocoa powder. We’re doing like a half cup. All right. So, we’re just going to go ahead and give it a good sie. All right. That’s enough. So, we’re just going to go ahead and combine this. What we’re going to do now, we’re going to add our banana mixture all to this. All right. And then the last thing we need to add is our butter. And we are really soft. So, just going to add our butter. You could do liquid butter if you want to, but I’m just This is what I’m using. Just going to give this a good mix. I’m just doing enough for one loaf, guys. Not no extra. All right. So, I’m just going to give a quick mix off camera. I’ll come back when I’m at the texture I’m looking for. If you have a mixer, now’s the time to break it out. That sound mean my oven is ready. So, good timing. All right, guys. So, just sheer muscle. And this is what I’ve got. I’m going to switch over to my spatula now. Um, as I said, guys, if you have, and I have one, a mixer, you could use that too, but sometime I just like to do everything by hand. That’s just me. So, we’re going to get a spatula and I’m going to scrape down all our excess. And this might look like a little bit, but remember, we’re doing one loaf. And we have baking powder and baking soda. So, this is going to swell. Let me say this should swell. All right. So, nice mixture we have. We’re going to transfer this now to our baking tin. We’re going to bake. All right. So, let’s get our bacon tin here. See, I got my parchment lined. Here we go. All right. So, that’s what it comes out to. And as I said, I know it looks like a little bit, but remember, it’s going to once it start baking and that baking powder and soda activate, it’s going to start. And one last step before we add this in is to add some chocolate chips. Just going to add generous amount of chocolate chip to this one. And when it’s almost finished or when it finish and come out to sit, we’re going to add a little bit more. All right. So, we’re going in the oven right now. See you guys in 40 minutes to 45. All right. So, our timer just went off. We’re going to go ahead and take this out. And don’t mind me with my fall oven mitts. All right. So, let’s come over here and place this on our tray. So, what we’re going to do is we’re going to let this cool before we even think about cutting into it. And then once we cool, I’ll be back so we could see our final product. All right, guys. So, this is finished. That’s what you’re looking for. I went ahead and pulled the parchment paper up. So, we’re going to go ahead and take this out. We’re going to go ahead and lay it down right there. And you see, you can see it’s a very um it wasn’t the deepest pan. So, that’s how the cake looks. And I let it cool for a little before I cut into it. But, let me just give you guys a sneak peek into our banana bread. And this is what I was telling you guys that I like when the actual pieces of bananas are in the bread. So, let’s try this. Pretty good. [Music] Welcome. Like, share and subscribe. [Music]
