Nothing beats the consistency of whole milk, but Oatly full fat and Planet Oat Barista Lovers are good alternatives for steaming / latte art (also, if you’re lactose intolerant).

I use the Oatly barista and I still can’t get it right. It’s either the texture of the milk I’m steaming or that I need a much wider mug that I can get really close to with the pitcher. I think my mug may be a little too tall. Any tips?

I use light oat milk and can pour Rosetta’s with it. Key is letting in an extra second of air compared to normal full fat, keeping the pitcher VERY STILL and letting it sit about 20 seconds before you swirl and pour after steaming. Former barista as well.

I just have a bambino and still figuring out how to get my milk to the right consistency for latte art, but chiming in to say that I love the oatly full fat for my lattes. I don’t see any need for the barista edition

So oatly full fat is basically oatly barista without pH buffers, some light roasts cortados it would likely curdle and separate (which was very surprising to me as oatmilk doesn’t have that much protein)
