So, we stopped at the nursery. Like, I need more plants. So, we’re picking out some plants. We just started walking around. I’ll show you what’s here because they do have a lot of nice plants. A lot of people aren’t thinking about planting in the heat, but I do. So, let’s walk around, see what they’ve got, and then I’ll show you what I’m picking out cuz I still have my eye on a couple things that I don’t have yet. And they’re so easy to propagate. Why not? One plant will give me all the plants I want. All right, let’s take a zip around here on a beautiful afternoon. So, we started to look around and they’ve got some plants at really good prices. I think not as many people are looking for certain plants this time of the year in the middle of summer, so they’ve got some really good bargains. Now, native milkeed, I’ve got that and it’s starting to bush up. So, the monarchs really like that. And this is all herbs down here. They have a lot of herbs. And that was one thing we actually wanted to get. Then here they’ve got the sugar baby watermelons. And then this is a great deal. They got a lot of vegetable plants right now. Half price. Yeah, they’re really like struggling. I actually had a watermelon like that and I took it off, let it sit for two weeks. You I think you saw it on the garden tour and boy was it sweet like sugar. So let’s see what’s in here because they’re really kind of gone. Now that’s a small type of eggplant. It’s not bad. I mean, it’s struggling. That one, you know, that one doesn’t look that bad. Let’s see what they’ve got here. Okay, so you got a black beauty. Look at the trunk on that plant. It actually looks pretty good. And I’ll tell you, if we have a mild winter, I’ve had eggplant grow really good in the winter here. And I’m thinking about that. And then we’ve got more eggplant here. That’s, you know, it seems like they’ve got two types or three types in here. So, these are going to be about, let’s say, 250. They might be a little less, but about $2.50 each. So, even if I grew it from seed, look how long it would take me to get to that point. Now, they’ve got some sugar baby watermelon. You could buy these and you could get them to grow. trim off any of the bad stuff on there and take really good care of it and it would take off. Right now in the middle of summer to try to grow watermelon at this point from seed. It might take longer to get to that stage, but I’ve got enough right now. I’m not going to deal with any more watermelon. Cantaloupe. I’ve never had good luck with cantaloupe. I don’t think I’m warm enough. Let’s look over here. Flowers. Is this half price? No. Just looks like their corner. They push things in. Let’s see. Gary’s looking down there. Let’s see what’s down here. Flowers. I see roses and a lot of geraniums. I think these are geraniums. No, these aren’t geraniums. Um, it’s a mix. There’s geraniums in there. Yeah, this is really a challenge at this time of the year for them to keep watering it. You know, these plants are in pots. They’re rootbound. So, if they don’t water them three, four times a day, they’ll lose them. It’s a good place underneath to put the ones that are really struggling from the heat. Get them in the shade. Good idea. H primrose. I mean, the plants don’t look that bad. They don’t look the greatest, but they don’t look that bad. When plants get rootbound, oh, they go through the water in a matter of an hour. Oh, look at this. Wow. How much do these things cost? Looking for a price. I don’t have that geranium. Look at the color. That’s something I’m going to think about. I’ve got a lot of different pinks and purples, but I don’t have that one. Let’s see what else. Here’s another one I don’t have. That looks like my Angel’s perfume. It’s a peachy colored $13 bunny brunch. Carrots scented. Oh, and they’re orange. That’s really cool. Wow. That I’m seriously thinking about. I mean, I don’t have an orange geranium, and that’s kind of what it looks like. A very orange color. Let’s look over here. Now, these are the leftover vegetables they’ve got that are holding on good, which are peppers. You know, you can grow peppers in the smallest container. You can grow them in a five gallallon bucket. You can grow them in a two gallon bucket. They’re really forgiving when it comes to their roots as long as they get their water. And remember, peppers can dry out where tomatoes cannot. Your tomato plants will wilt. So, they’re about $6. Let’s see. 550 4in pots. But see how nice they are? And the other vegetable plants are going downhill. That’s because they don’t mind if they get dry. They have a whole different makeup. So they can store water better than tomatoes and other types of vegetables. So we’ve got a couple things picked out here. Okay, going back to this. I’m really thinking about this plant. See, black beauty geranium. Wow. $13. I mean, I can take that one plant, make many of them, but I’ve got so much propagating to do that I haven’t done, and I want to do it with you, too. $13. You know, I’m going to get this one. I threw it on the cart. Why? Because I could never find another true angel’s perfume. And this is the same type of plant. Wouldn’t that look nice? Two of them in the same pot. I’m going to get this eggplant. I’m going to get those two. These are the smaller ones. That’s Gary’s favorite. And they look really good, though. Look how green they are. And look how nice this looks. I’m going to get those three eggplants. Even though I do have some plants growing at home. And then he got this mouse melon. This uh cucuml cuc melon. He got excited when he saw it. And they’re half price. So he told me to take some. He’s going to take some. Let’s see. Um look how they grow viny. Look at them. Little tiny things. You eat those. I mean, I’ve heard about them, but we’ve never grown them. He actually got excited about that. And then we are getting this lemon verbina. We picked out two. Now, though, we’ve got what is it? Five big trees. They grow into big trees. And this is stevia. My stevia died out. I had it for about four years. And that is really the life of the plant. A lot of times they only go to three. So, I did pretty good. So, I’m going to get another stevia right now. But the lemon verbina, it’s funny. It’s actually going to be Oh, he’s getting holy basil. He put that in there. Okay. Gary likes basil, different mints. So, but I’m so glad that we found the lemon verbina. So, we’re getting two of those right now. We may end up getting more. We’ll see. Today, we’ll get two and maybe we’ll come back another day. He’s waving goodbye. We’re going to go in a second. And that’s for the goldfinches and spice finches. They love eating the seeds from it. So, we’re going to grow a whole bunch. So, he’s off and running. I’m going to go in there and make sure I get those plants that are half price. Half price. Look at this. You know, we bought this at Home Depot and I think they were five bucks. They were discounted. $35 and they’re still in the pot on the back porch there. I got to get them in the ground. That’s what they’ve got there. I mean, it looks nice. They water here unlike a lot of your big box stores don’t water that often, like maybe once a day. They really take care of their plants. Okay. all paid for, boxed up, and ready to go home. I love going to mom pawa type nurseries, something small, not the big box stores all the time. So, we got them all home, and I just watered them. So, I’ll get them planted out. Now, this limb broke. I’m going to remove it. This is the lemon verbina. And I’m going to go ahead and see if I can propagate this. Probably cut it into pieces. But I’m really happy with everything we got. We got that. But they were really dry, some of them. So, we’ll see how they go. And I’m not going to plant them today, but maybe I’ll find some places. A little fruit that’s off of these things. So, Gary’s going to plant that in his garden. Here’s another fruit. The eggplant looks really good. And then I’ve got this one. This is a black beauty. And this is the smaller one. Gary likes the smaller one. something easy to chop up and throw into something. All right, so it was a good haul today. I’m really pleased and I hope you enjoyed this. It was just a surprise because we stopped to go get some stuff. So with that, have a wonderful day and don’t forget to eat what you grow and grow something. Though this is actually for the birds, though we do use the leaves to make tea. Lemon verbina makes wonderful tea. Bye-bye everyone. Well, at least I got one job done today. One lemon verbina in a large pot. Look at the lizard behind me. This is all my wise cam running by. Oh, they’re all over. I love them. Okay, so we got one. And I’m hoping it’s going to get as big as the other five that I bought many years ago. And I’m putting the label in there so I’ll remember though. I know the leaf very well. Isn’t that beautiful? Great tea. I made it yesterday. I even mixed it with a little bit of blueberry water. Well, I make the blueberry water. But anyways, it was so great to add to water and ice. But now I’m going to let that thing sit and then I will find a place in the bird garden for it. Is that not beautiful? And this is why we wanted to get some rooted ones. So I am going to start to root some. This is two of my lemon verbinas back here. And you can see like a 100 spice finches in there. Those two are big lemon verbina. So keep your fingers crossed cuz I hope it gets as big as that one. Cool. One job done and a thousand more to go.

Hello Robbie
Hi Robbie!
Are you near the Rosa Fire?
Good afternoon Robbie and Gary 😊 ❤❤❤ Bob C says that you Gary have a wonderful week 😊 ❤❤❤
Hello from a stormy windy UK 🇬🇧🇬🇧 x
❤
Robbie! There are plants you don't have???? 😂😂😂 Glad you are finding new stuff. ❤
Nice!!!
Some great buys! Lemon verbena sounds interesting! Thanks for sharing this shopping experience!!!
Good evening. I'm glad you found some plants you wanted. I went to Lowes today. It was extremely disappointing. I didn't buy anything. There are no other places in this town that sell plants. Oh well, I actually have a lot already. Have a wonderful week.
We are in New Brunswick Canada and we just picked 3 sugar baby watermelons today. We have hot and humid summers here.
Hermoso video escuché un gallo
How big does sugar baby watermelon get? Mine are all baseball size.
I love plant shopping with y'all! I managed to get a few discounted plants at lowes, but I sure got lucky on the Miracle-Gro potting mix like what you buy. At Walmart, I bought 55 bags of potting mix and 8 bags of garden soil for $1.00 each. I was so happy. I never get that lucky. ❤😊😊❤
I got some apple mint 10 percent off.
I was there last week and they still have lots of milkweeds. Mine are slowly growing back and aphids are already invading them 😩. Saw one large caterpillar crawling on the ground. So I put it back on the plant. I have several chrysalis that never opened up. Must be too hot for them.
Hi Robbie, I like spur of the moment shopping trips to the garden center. I wish you and Gary were a little closer. I would run some holy basil over to you. I have a whole dish pan full of holy basil. There must be 20 self seeded plants in my dish pan that I put walking onions in. The basil smells so very good. Have a wonderful evening. 😊
Very nice plants from your garden center, Robbie and Gary.
I actually have the same Geraniums growing from seed I planted a couple yrs ago. Although they're annuals they self seed each Spring. Love your beautiful Lemon Verbena. Blessings. Love Sherry ❤🙏💕🌶🫑
Hi Robbie,
I just wanted to say how much I admire your work and everything you accomplish in a day. I’m always amazed not only by your beautiful garden, but also by the quality and consistency of your videos—and the editing!
I’ve recently started my own YouTube channel about my garden – still in a process to edit the content – and every time I watch your videos, I find myself wondering: how do you do it all? How do you organize your video files, manage your editing process, and keep up with filming so regularly?
Do you have a video where you talk about the “behind the scenes” of how you edit your content? Or, if not, would you consider making one for us? I think many of us would love to see how you manage everything so beautifully.
Thank you for the inspiration you bring to the gardening community! 🌸🍒🌿 All the best, Andre
Hi Robbie! 😊❤
Thanks for taking us along!!!
Been following Y'all for a while now, then you're at a nursery just a couple of miles from me.
Hi, my wonderful garden buddy. Thanks so much for sharing. Wonderful nursery.
Hello Robbie and Gary ❤❤
Robbie you are a source of inspiration to me. I don't know how you do it all. Im only 53 and my back is killing me from bending over my containers on the ground. So…. Going to start with 4 free garden chairs and totes on them. Feeling excited.
Good buys you can propagate that stevia it’s easy to root ❤❤❤❤❤
We need to know about blueberry water Robbie. Great shopping trip.
