Agreed with the above posters. Use about half that much charcoal and push it all to the side farthest from the chimney. Sear on the hot side quickly and then move to the cool side to bring up to temp. It sounds way more difficult than it is and will up your steak game a lot. I went a while without figuring that out too. It’s a game changer.
