Just like the crunchy fall leaves, this Cinnamon & Brown Sugar Apple Crisp recipe adds a sweet texture to the best time of the year ππ
INGREDIENTS:
6 Granny Smith apples, peeled and thinly sliced
3 Fuji apples, peeled and thinly sliced
1 Tbsp. ground cinnamon
1 ΒΌ cups unsalted butter
1 cup dark brown sugar
ΒΎ cup rolled oats
1 cup all-purpose flour
Vanilla ice cream to serve
INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Preheat your oven to 375 degrees. In a large bowl, toss the peeled and thinly-sliced Granny Smith and Fuji apples with the ground cinnamon.
2. Pour the apple mixture into a prepared 9-by-9-inch baking dish.
3. In a separate bowl, combine the unsalted butter, dark brown sugar, rolled oats and all-purpose flour. Use your fingers or a fork to mix everything together until it forms a crumbly topping.
4. Sprinkle this topping evenly over the apples in the baking dish.
5. Bake for 45 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the apple filling is bubbly. Let the crisp cool for a few minutes before serving with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
